Mike Muisenga > About Me

I am a full-time real estate consultant and never too busy to help people with one of the most important decisions in their lives.  Born and raised in Elmhurst, I have always considered it home.  I attended grade school and high school at Immaculate Conception here in town.  I graduated college from Illinois State University in 2000 with a degree in International Business. 

Out of college I worked for 10 years with Enterprise car rental where I gained valuable sales, management, and customer service skills throughout my tenure there. In 2010 I decided to join the family business at Prudential Prairie Path Realtors, relocating my family from Los Angeles, CA and returned to Elmhurst.  Although the beaches and sun of southern California were tough to leave behind, I knew my future was in real estate and Elmhurst was home. 

Today, I reside on Chatham Avenue in Elmhurst with my wife Shelley and three sons, Matthew, Ryan, & Dylan.  I am a second generation realtor and have been around the business my whole life.  The company was founded by my father, Mickey, and has been servicing Elmhurst and the surrounding communities since 1988.

In April 2014, we changed our franchise affiliation to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and were awarded one of the first independently owned and operated franchises in Illinois.
